One of the things I like about WAR is it seems like there will be lots of options for great group tactics; here's one I wanted to try so far:

Shaman's get the spells:

Sticky Feetz:
For 10 seconds, all enemies within 30 feet of a spot that you select will have their Elemental resistance reduced by 378 and become snared, reducing their run speed by 60%.

Youz Squishy:
Your target and all other enemies within 30 feet of them have their Toughness reduced by 120 for 10 seconds.

And Squig Herder gets:

Explodin' Arrer:
An Ailment which deals 199 Elemental damage to your target and then explodes, dealing an additional 246 Elemental damage over 9 seconds to the target and all other enemies within 20 feet of them.

So you get a group with 1 Black Orc, 1-2 Shamans and 2-3 Squig Herders and you go for that as a strategy, the shamans basically AOE debuff a group of enemies toughness and Elemental Resists and the Squig Herders capitalize on it; but also with that group makeup you could get with your renown points:

Orkish Camaderie:
You gain an extra 5% morale gain for each greenskin in your group.

Since you can run a full greenskin group with that, if you all had that renown passive, you would all get +25% morale gain as well, letting your whole group reach rank 3 and 4 morale abilities quicker =)

Anyone planning any other fun similar group strategies?

Isn't that +30% morale gain? Or doesn't it count yourself?

Sticky feetz is in the same mastery path as the tactics that improve 'ere we go' btw, your squig hunters would be rolling in morale.

Damn this theory crafting?!?! I have changed what I want to play about 10000 times now. Originally i played a necro/cabalist type class in DAOC/WOW but... I reallly like ranged melee types... but... I really like my resto shaman and had alot of fun playing Zealot with all the instants hots/dots and stuff. I never died.. also played Borc/shammy/squigherder and liked them ALL! Though the coolest looking is zealot, that twisted looking fucker!

Are you sure all of that stuff stacks? I know in WoW buffs like that often didn't stack simply BECAUSE of what you're saying, it be INSANELY high percentages, imbalancing the combat a bit.

I'll be holding up the lone witch elf spot!

Then one day you'll look in the mirror and say you know, I wish I had rolled a witch elf, I could have used some totally awesome 80's hair today. On that day you'll be sorry you followed the herd.

Dang the jig might be up, people in the witch elf forums finally noticed the insane dot potential witch elves have through the suffering tree.

Hey, remember I told you here first about it so when everyone does it you can say well Sieglinde had already gone that route smile

Aye likely two shamans using sticky feetz would not stack, but it only lasts 10 seconds; 2 shamans could alternate keeping it up with heals, while the squigs arrer'd em up

even without it stacking it seems like nice aoe damage potential + huge snare to keep em in the circle of death!

and yea, while all the magic and arrers are raining down death, sieglinde can be slinking around the outskirts, occasionally throwing a dagger and claiming the death as her kill! lol

From what I have seen so far, anything and everything stacks lol 2 of those morale gaining abilities are procs that gain you a flat amount of morale anyway, only the renown tactic is a % gain. Looks like fun to me, just having 5 gobbos running around would be fun! Plus toughness debuffs look to be the most dps out of any group of abilities when combined with effective focus fire. Although in this example, the mayhem is pretty widespread, focus fire would be more of an option than a requirement.

I'm definitely making a squig herder for open beta to see if I like the way they play now.

Yea I'll be trying the shadow warrior to feel them out. After playing extensively the WH the next attempt is RDPS. And I will check the WL again to see if the pet pathing AI is fixed.

I'm curious to see how nicely RDPS pans out - in RvR I would presume it's a blast pew pew'ing at everyone.

Shadow warriors at low levels were ok. You get into melee in rvr you are dead as you really only have 2 abilities, a slash and a dot. Mostly I just seemed to use eagle eye on back row casters, as there was never a shortage of sorceresses to aim at. If anyone charged up to me I'd use the aoe root and try to lose em in a group then back to nuking ranged guys. The key is to also stay just slightly behind other shadow warriors so they get tabbed first huh?

Got rank 18 rr 11 or so in a day, was pretty easy.

edit: you also got to make good uses of your stances, will make your life alot easier

Yea I keep telling myself a SW might be ok but the thought of running from someone constantly when they get near makes me feel like a bad panda.

I like to like you know - sit there and take it and dish it right back!

White Lion seems like the class for me - WH seems too squishy. I'll be using my pet in marvelous ways. I'll make sure to send it to the cute 80 hairs do chick and make sure it purrs first before ripping her to shreds!

Oh wait off topic ....

Back on topic - white lion specced in guardian is essentially an off tank.

For the Order I would see a dwarven tank with guard, white lion, bright wizard, runepriest, archmage and either warrior priest or two handed tank being pretty decent.
